Meditations For Pilgrims in a COVID-19 World

Pilgrim.  What's that?  One source defines it as ...a traveler or wanderer, especially in a foreign place.  The media has picked up this theme of wanderer when it declares that we're navigating in uncharted waters.  It's true.  We haven't been in a Coronavirus world before.

It's early 2020 and the world, including Canada, finds itself facing a health crisis.  A new virus is spreading that goes by new names - Coronavirus or COVID-19.  Whatever you call it, it's proven more deadly than the seasonal influenza.  Understandably, our country and community are bracing for a difficult next while.  What'll happen?  How bad will it get?  Will I or a loved one be infected by this virus?  Will I die?

These are questions for which there are no easy answers.  Yet, the Christian faith offers real resources for such times.  In these weekly 'Meditations for Pilgrims', we want to consider some of the 'helps' afforded people of faith.  We hope you'll join us each week as we touch on ways God reaches out to us to support us in difficult times.
