Revelation 2:18-29

Thyatira was an inland commercial center, famous for its rich purple dye.  The believers there were commended for their good deeds, character and perseverance.  Yet, Jesus is critical of their tolerance of a popular female leader - nicknamed after Israel's notorious queen, Jezebel.  She was influential in leading some in the church into immorality and idolatry.  For some reason, the church put up with her and her ways.  To show how serious the situation was, Jesus threatened to start executing her followers!  Doesn't sound very tolerant, does it?
