Philippians 3:1-11

Join with us as Ben Tombs, Youth Pastor at Unity Baptist, teaches today.

There have always been men (and women) and movements who have overestimated their ability to please God.  Here, Paul will describe a crisis in his life (conversion) where he withdrew his confidence in himself and instead learned to trust entirely in Jesus for his right-standing with God.  Can you relate to that?

Philippians 4:10-23

It's always good etiquette to say 'thanks'.  Here, Paul says 'thanks' to a church for the support they'd sent him during a lean time.  At the same time, he tells them he's leaned a valuable secret, viz, how to get along with whatever he has.  What is 'the secret of being content in any and every situation'?  This sounds like precisely what's needed in a consumer-oriented culture.
