Matthew 28

What was the first Easter like?  Sad to say, it wasn't as calm or clear as the Hallmark cards suggest. The chaos at the tomb was thick.  The idea that Jesus was risen was intolerable to Jewish authorities.  And even after multiple appearances by Jesus, the Gospel writer Matthew states, 'some doubted'.  So for sure, the original Easter was anything but smooth sailing.  Yet, out of such a shaky beginning, a great, worldwide, life-giving movement was launched that's still with us today.  Come join us as we consider Easter #1... in all its glory!
