DESCRIPTION:Join us this Thanksgiving Sunday as we continue our sermon seri
es "Genesis - PROMISES".\nNow the Lord said to Abram\, “Go from your cou
ntry and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show
you. And I will make of you a great nation\, and I will bless you and mak
e your name great\, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who
bless you\, and him who dishonors you I will curse\, and in you all the f
amilies of the earth shall be blessed.” (Genesis 12:1-3)\nAfter dispersi
ng humanity\, Genesis turns to the central story of the Bible: God pursuin
g the creation that rejected him. This great rescue begins with the callin
g of a man from Ur to whom are given the promises that will change the wor
ld forever. Join us on Sunday mornings\, beginning in August and continuin
g through December\, as we unpack the story of Abram/Abraham (Genesis 12-2
 5) and discover how his journey sets the wheels in motion that will culmin
ate in the coming of Jesus. \nToday\, we will be studying Genesis 17:9 -
18:15\, titled "The Promised Child".\nEveryone is welcome as we fellowship
\, worship and open the scriptures to learn together!
